Pet Assisted Therapy

Pet Assisted Therapy is offered in a group setting in conjunction with TF-CBT. Compass Intervention Center partners with Mid-South Therapy Dogs and Friends http://www.midsouththerapydogs.org/ to provide this unique treatment for patients. Pet Assisted Therapy utilizes the healing power of animals to build a therapeutic relationship between the patient and animal. Pet Assisted Therapy at Compass Intervention Center specifically utilizes dogs, which offers patients the ability to establish the loving, non-judgmental relationship offered by these specially trained pets.  Mid-South Therapy Dogs and Friends is a 501(c)3, Nonprofit charitable organization that is devoted to providing all people, young and old, the opportunity to experience this magic of the human-animal bond. Mid -South Therapy Dogs & Friends strongly believes in our motto “Not All Medicine Comes In A Bottle”.
